So let’s be honest, the weather has turned (like back in August) and the only thing that makes me feel any better about this cooling trend is the chance to add some new stuff to my closet. I’m also finally not freaking out every time I stay away from the nail salon too long (toes, I’m looking at you!)

Over the past few weeks, I keep finding myself back online shopping for all new fall style essentials. Nordstrom Summer Sale anyone?! And these are the fall staples you will love.
Because street style is my favorite trend, I focused on items that could easily be incorporated into cute casual fall outfits but could become that perfect layering piece paired with a trench coat for a perfect fall office outfit. Cause this girl doesn’t have an unlimited closet space or wallet.
1. Hats and Headwear for Fall
So excited we can finally bring back the wool hats. I am totally in love with this one from Madewell. It provides a pop of color that is so perfect for this season and versatile for any look.
I really feel that you can pair it with a casual graphic tee and skinny jeans as easily as with a pinstripe suit and a pair of mules, or even that boho-chic dress you wore to the festival, but don’t know what to do with!

It complements any fall wardrobe. The strip is removable, too! So you can change it up all the time. Psssst…it goes perfectly with item #4.
2. Cool Weather Dusters and Cardigans

This duster is *EVERYTHING* and it’s available from Amazon. It’s not the one in the carousel, but it’s the one I’m wearing in the picture.
Run to get it now. So soft. So light. And a perfect accessory to any fall outfit. They have it in probably every color you can imagine so you can mix and match all day long.
This piece will help you stay on top of the latest fall trends. Just pair with a pair of denim, your favorite tee, and over-the-knee boots. Or wear it around the house with your PJs. I’m not judging. It’s THAT comfy.
And if you’re looking for something with a bit more weight for when you’re sitting by that fire on a chilly October night, look no further than this open fall sweater. And yes, it’s also from Amazon. I can’t describe to you just how soft it is. I can’t stop touching mine! Pair with a midi skirt and some chelsea boots. Presto!
3. Boots, boots, and booties.
And speaking of boots, one of my favorite reasons to love the cooler weather is that I can finally bring out this fall staple. Now I know that we’ve all lusted after the Stuart Weitzman boots, but if you’re not willing to stretch your budget this far, this is my favorite pair I bought in gray.

Layer this over-the-knee boots with sweaters, a pair of jeans, or a summer dress with a long sleeve body underneath.
4. Cute fall dresses.
Personally, I love dresses any time of year. They always make me feel so feminine. And this fall dress, in particular, stole my heart. Goes perfectly with that hat from #1 and a pumpkin latte in hand! 🙂
5. Camis and other layering fall essentials.
No item is as versatile as a cami. I honestly invested a fortune in them lately and they are worth every penny. With camis, the idea is to have some that are plain so they don’t overwhelm your look and are easy to match, and some that add a bit of detail or perhaps can even be your statement piece.
I feel like nothing is more feminine in fall than a layered look. And these bralettes from Free People are amazing. I love that I can wear them under a sheer sweater. And they come in so many colors! Wow!
Another great way to wear a bralette is under a top with a more low-cut neckline or décolleté. I linked a few of my favorites below to give you more outfit ideas.
6. Fall skincare.
Is there anything more Fall than pumpkin? Well, you’re in luck. Because this Pumpkin masque is the perfect thing to get your skin ready for this season.
So while I love this season, I am very conscious of keeping my skin glowing as the humidity drops and the cold air hits. I linked a bunch of my personal favorite skincare items. I use these regularly and love them all.
The Embryolisse cream linked above can be used to remove make-up, moisturize at night or during the day, and as a primer. It’s honestly amazing!
Don’t forget to love on your skin this fall, girls. Your skin will thank you for it.
7. Accessories make an outfit.
Lastly, don’t forget to accessorize. Fall 2019 is all about statement earrings, chunky bracelets, and skinny belts with just the right detail. And nails! Check out this post for the latest. The right accessory will help you look effortlessly chic.
For instance, this buckle belt from Topshop can be easily paired with a dress or a pair of white or blue denim (I am into rule-breaking, so white after Labor Day is a must!). A denim jacket or a leather jacket (linked below) would be very on-trend as well.
